District 5100 received a Gold Award in each of the last five years for its participation in the Youth Exchange Program. Our district has the second largest Rotary Youth Exchange Program in the US.
Will Christensen recently returned from his exchange year in Japan and thanked the club for supporting him during the process. He is looking forward to giving a presentation on his experiences later in the year. He plans to spend the rest of the summer studying for the SAT and getting re-certified as a lifeguard.
Evan Bishop is spending his summer working and taking an on-line English class. He will leave on Aug 23 or 24 for his exchange year in Japan. He will be staying in the same region from which Will returned.
Andrea announced that Rotary and Michael Allen Harrison have each raised $57,000 in sponsorships for Ten Grands on the Green.
