Rob announced that it was the last opportunity to sign up for a chance to win 500 points toward  Paul Harris Fellow recognition.  A $10 donation to the International foundation buys one chance.

President Rob said that he had asked Julie to investigate and plan a dinner event at Blakeslee Vineyard because everyone had such a great time on the wine tour Stuart organized last fall.  The cost for wine, dinner, and dessert would be about $65 per person.  A poll of the group was taken and the event was squashed due to the price.  Mike McCleskey offered to host an event at Horseleap Vineyard and McCleskey Cellars.  Gina, Julie, Meredith, and Gail will work with the McCleskeys to plan the event for May 7.

Jim Strickler announced that sponsors are needed for the annual THS Achievement Banquet.  A table sponsorship is $100.

Jan Richardson announced that a Vine to Wine fund raiser for Tualatin Library will be held on Ap 16 at 7 PM.  Ten wineries will be present.  Tickets are $45.

District Assembly will be held on April 23 at West Linn High School.

Jacob reminded everyone that Ten Grands on the Green will be held on July 31 and asked everyone to use their contacts to seek sponsors for the event.  Let Jacob know about potential sponsors and he will be glad to approach them.  Some sponsorships are already in place.

On March 11, the Good Neighbor Center will hold its annual Storytelling fund raiser.  Cost is $40 per person.

Inbound exchange student, Charly and outbound student, Annie talked enthusiastically about their recent ski trip to Anthony Lakes.  They got to ski one day, do archery and skeet shooting another day, and visit with elementary school children.  Annie announced that she has been placed in Izmir, Turkey.  (The Yesiladas couldn’t have been more pleased.)  Outbound student, Will was able to get a long-term spot with another club and will be going to Japan.  Yay!

Ed Murphy gave a recap of his year as club president in 2002-2003.  He said the club had 71 members at the time.  Polio was endemic in 10 countries and our club raised $17,800 (over 3 years) for Polio Plus.  Exchange students were from Brazil, Guatemala, and the Czech Republic.  We sponsored an Ambassadorial Scholar who spent 2 years in France.

Sergeant Conrad asked everyone to donate $10 to the International Foundation.  Jay made a special donation in honor of his birthday.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
