On June 30th, 2016 the Annual Rotary Golf Tournament kicked off at Redtail Golf Course at 11am. When the last team finished around 5:45pm the winners of the four-person scramble were: Troy Mears, Scott Mears, Juan Flores, and Chuck Solamon (making them, two-time running winners).
Following the Golf Tournament was a great dinner at the Stockpot Restaurant that Stuart and Chris Cohen planned; and, it was delicious! We had fresh fruit, caesar salad, potatoes, steamed vegetables, chicken and beef. With strawberry shortcake and whip cream for dessert.
Bob and Ruth Davidson were in charge of the auction. Ruth brought her delicious pies for auction that are out of this world delicious. I know this from experience, finally because I won one for the first time in the three years I have been bidding for one. Many people brought wonderful gifts to have auctioned off.

Perfect Attendance Awards were given out, the list includes, Gina Cobb, Bonnie Conger, Bob Davidson, Sanford Induye, Rob Musante, Jim Sanders, Steve Schmitt, Jim Strickler, Jeff Yarnell, Birol Yesilada and Sue Yesilda. Well Done!
Jacob Pilling, who was the Rotarian of the Year last year presented Gina Cobb with the award this year. It is a big honor to be chosen by club members. Thank you everyone for this great award!
Ken and Carol VanDomelen received Couple of the Year Award, the second year in a row. Ken and Carol do a lot of work in Guatemala partnering with Rotary clubs there. It is awesome to have these two in our club. They are a true inspiration and give so much to the world!
Bill Monahan was inducted as the new Tigard Rotary President for 2016-2017 year. Rob gave him the President’s vanity plate for his car and his gavel it make it all official.
Rob was honored with the Presidents pin with and his President award, which is a gavel and a beautiful plaque.
A great many thanks to Jim Strickler who is a wonderful MC of last night’s event!
