The 52nd annual Tigard High School Achievement Banquet will be held on Sunday May 7 at the Wilsonville Holiday Inn.  We still need 18 more table sponsors for the event.  Table sponsorships are $100 and include one dinner ticket.  Our club sponsors meals for all award recipients.  The students are nominated for awards by their teachers.  Awards focus on improvement throughout the school year.  Please plan to attend and support this great event.

The District 5100 Training Assembly will be held on April 22 at Reynolds High School.  Please register on the District web site.  When checking out to pay, choose “club check.”

The District 5100 Convention will be held May 25 – 28 in Seaside, OR.  Register online.

Rotary International will hold its annual convention in Atlanta in June.  This is your chance to attend the convention in the US.  You can learn more about how much Rotary does around the world, and make new friends.

The District has opened Round 3 for grant applications.  $6,000 is available for approved projects.  Talk to Cheron if you are interested in applying for funds.

The next Club Social will be held on April 25th at Al’s Bowling in Progress Ridge.  Cost is $38 per person and includes 3 hours of bowling, pizza, and soft drinks.  Adult beverages will be available for purchase.  If you’re worried about your bowling skills, or lack thereof, Jim Sanders will be on hand to teach you the art of avoiding the dreaded gutter ball.

The annual Rose Sale is underway.  Roses are $24/dozen, wine is $22/bottle for Horseleap red, white, or rose, $46/bottle for Reserve Pinot Noir.  All wine is from McCleskey Cellars.  This is one of our most important fund raisers of the year.  Roses will be delivered on May 4.  Orders must be received by April 27.  Get out there and sell, sell, sell!  Club members who do not wish to participate may make a $100 donation to the club in lieu of selling roses.
