Rotary is comprised of people who work tirelessly with their clubs to solve some of our communities’ toughest challenges. The efforts of local clubs are supported by an international organization including the Rotary Foundation. Rotary is led by its members- responsible leaders who help carry forward our organization’s mission and values in their elected roles. This can only be done through the commitment of its members in a variety of ways. In an effort to ensure all members understand what that commitment means, the following resources explain what is asked of each Rotarian.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Financial Obligations” font_container=”tag:h5|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Droid%20Sans%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner el_class=”” width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”Dues” font_container=”tag:h6|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Droid%20Sans%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Annual dues are billed each June for the following fiscal year. Included in this fee is a subscription to “The Rotarian”, a monthly Rotary magazine, a ticket to the Holiday Banquet held in December, a ticket to the Installation Banquet in June, and (as of 2015) the meeting room rental fee. Current individual member dues are $512 (which can be paid annually- June, semi-annually- June and January, quarterly- July, Oct, Jan, April, or monthly).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner el_class=”” width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”Weekly Lunches” font_container=”tag:h6|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Droid%20Sans%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Each member is responsible for the cost of their meals in connection with the weekly meeting. Meals can be purchased via debit/credit, cash, or checks. Members can also prepay for a given number of meals. Meal cost is currently $13.00; please add $0.50 if you pay by credit/debit.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner el_class=”” width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”Sargent at Arms” font_container=”tag:h6|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Droid%20Sans%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Members are occasionally “fined” at meetings as a humorous method to raise money for the club; these can also include games devised by the Sargent. These fines are good-natured and usually result in just a few dollars. You can also pay a “fine” of your (or the Sargent’s) choosing for brags: sharing an achievement of a business or personal nature (such as a child that just finished college). We have a “wheel of fines” that can be spun to determine your fine, as well. If you land on the TRF spot, everyone in the club donates $2 to The Rotary Foundation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner el_class=”” width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”Foundation” font_container=”tag:h6|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Droid%20Sans%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Rotarians also have the opportunity (and are encouraged) to voluntarily contribute to both the local Rotary Foundation and International’s Rotary Foundation. Rotarians that donate to either foundation are recognized in varying ways including the award of the Paul Harris Fellow for a cumulative donation of $1,000 to international’s foundation. attending another Rotary club
attending a committee or board meeting
complete an online meeting makeup (click here)

As Rotarians we like to serve our community and world; but, also work to develop relationships between members. That is great! There are several ways to orient yourself to the local club and the international organization. Getting to know the members in our club can be done through our member directory. When you become a member you are given a directory and asked to get each member to sign their page.
