Jeff Tainer said the Foundation Board has approved a Dunk Tank for Conrad Pearson to seat in. It will be $20 a throw….details to come later.
Guest at our Meeting were: Marie Watkins and she brought Patty. Avonlea the Tigard High School student of the Month of November attended our meeting. Avonlea was recognized for dedicating her PCC Senior Art Show work to intersectional feminism in modern culture through racism, sexual orientation, and the gender spectrum. Paul and Judy Miller are celebrating their 46th wedding anniversary and donated to the Local Foundation.
Jeff Yarnell was called by Landmark Ford and told him they saved him money on repairs to his car.
Danielle Isaac a guest that will be inducted on March 17th, 2016 said it was her daughters 8th birthday.
Conrad donated a $100 for his budget and then told us a story about how he is now a farmer on 33 acres in Aurora. Two months ago at night his wife, Barbara thought there was a person in the barn. When Conrad went out in the dark field with a flashlight he said what appeared to be a man with eyes staring at him and flashed the light lower and saw another pair of eyes. The next morning he saw it was actually black bear tracks, with a baby black bear.
Fireside at President Rob Musante and Wife MaryAlice Musante, took place at their new home at 6pm. Catering was done by DeAngelo’s Catering http://deangeloscatering.com/. DeAngelo’s Catering really did a wonderful job on food and brownies!
Stuart Cohen, Birol Yesilada and Jeff Tainer spoke about the Local Foundation and Budget because we are a transparent club. It was a wonderful evening. It was such a informative and fun gathering at Rob’s new house! Stuart gave a wonderful presentation on the History of the Local Foundation. Birol spoke about the International Foundation and the wonderful efforts to End Polio. Jeff Tainer gave us a handout of the clubs budget and where the money goes. All members are welcome to Foundation meetings. They are generally held before or after our noon meetings at Nicoli’s Sports Bar and Grill.
Stuart, Birol and Jeff, Thank you for all that you do for our club and for taking the time to explain the importance of how we as Rotarian’s add to the community.
