Sabrina McKenzie, who will be leaving for Japan on August 24, received an email from her host family.  Sabrina made the effort to write back in Japanese, to the obvious delight of her soon-to-be hosts.  The family has 3 children ranging in age from 8 to 14.  While still stateside, Sabrina is working on her Kanji characters, elaborate symbols used in modern Japanese writing.

President, Rob Musante recognized Bonnie Conger and Conrad Pearson for their generous support of our community.  Conrad and Bonnie partnered to donate $15,000 to Friends of Bull Mountain Park through the Rotary Club of Tigard Foundation. They noted that it is important for the general public to see the Rotary symbol so that they are aware of ways the club is involved in the community.

Jacob Pilling announced that a few volunteers are still needed to help clean up after the Ten Grands on the Green event this coming Saturday, July 25.

Dianna Weston mentioned that volunteers are needed for the Tigard Street Fair in September.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
