Today’s visitors included Ryan Flatley, Zoe Monahan, outbound exchange students Ethan and Evan who will be going to Japan in August, and incoming students Isha (India), and Gabrielle (Brazil).  Isha invited everyone to attend a Collection of One Act Plays at Tigard High School this week.  Performances will be held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (Matinee and evening performances).  The cost is $8.

The exchange students are holding a fundraiser for ShelterBox to raise $1000 to purchase a fully stocked tent for displaced persons.  To this end they baked cookies and cake-pops to sell at the meeting.  Thanks to the many members who purchased goodies, they exceeded today’s goal of $200.  They have until the District Conference in May to raise the balance of the funds.

Ken VanDomelen reported that we have raised $4700 toward the $5000 goal for the Guatemala Clean Air Cook stove project.  He asked that a few members step up to meet the goal today, and they did!  Thanks to everyone who pledged their support of this project.  If you have not already done so, please bring a check to next week’s meeting.  You can also pay your pledge online.

Gina reminded everyone of the club social at Flyboy Brewing, 15630 Boones Ferry Rd, #1A, tomorrow, Friday, at 6 PM.

The Good Neighbor Center’s annual Storytelling for Adults fundraiser will be held at the Broadway Rose Theater on March 10.  Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased online or from Jack Schwab.

Cheron will attend PETS training to help her get ready to assume her role as club president on July 1.
