Rob reminded everyone to sign up for the Paul Harris points raffle.  This is the first of two raffles that will be held before the end of June.  The goal is for every member of our club to donate at least $10 to the International Rotary Foundation every year.

The Cypress Friendship Program is looking for host homes for teens that will be visiting Portland this summer.  Host families need to have a bedroom that two participants can share, be able to host for the month of July, and have at least one person at home during the daytime.  Please contact Cheron for more information.

Mark your calendar; the annual golf tournament and installation banquet will be held on June 29.  This year’s theme is “Hats.”   Get one at a vintage shop near you.

$965 has been received as matching money for the Peace Pole.  Please contact Marland if you would like to participate in this project.

Birol recognized Jim Corliss as a Major Donor to Rotary International Foundation.  Many thanks for years of service and selflessness on behalf of Rotary.

Tigard branch of HomeStreet Bank was recently inducted into the President’s Club in recognition of its achievements and service. President’s Club recognizes the top performing locations on a variety of goals.  Jacob’s branch was ranked 4th out of about 50 locations. Quite an achievement!

Rob made a donation to the local foundation in honor of his and Mary Alice’s 23rd anniversary.

Sergeant Conrad led an Oregon Aware quiz.  No doubt everyone knew that the state nut is the Hazelnut, AKA Filbert.  Some of the questions were considerably more difficult to answer but Web assistance was allowed.

Thanks to everyone who has pledged a donation to the Guatemala Stove Project.  We have received donations or pledges from 29 people (including 2 who are not club members) for a total of $4,100!  We are $900 away from our Club Goal of $5,000 to purchase 100 stoves.  Contact Julie with questions.
